Mixed Pine Needles coiled in natural Sinew around a 2" long oval of light gray and black, sliced Geode/Thunder Egg cast in Resin. The Bottom measures 4" wide before starting the gently sloping sides of the Basket body. The first 5 coils around the geode slice is worked in the natural Sinew color, followed by a coil wrapped in Black Sinew, then by a coil wrapped in Aqua Blue Sinew. Returning to the Natural Sinew for the next 3 coils with the 4th wrapped now in the Natural Sinew color. The Basket measures 5.50" across at this point and stands 2" tall. The footing coils on the bottom echo the same pattern as the Basket with the 2 coils wrapped in dark Sinew......11/19/08 I have 2 "working" coils going at the same time, it makes the Basket rows add up faster, I just have to keep the 2 strands of Sinew from getting tangled. The Basket has some coils looped free of the sides in different areas and the 2nd "working" coil follows the 1st "working" coil in some places and loops free coils in others...12/4/08 To keep within the pattern, I am wrapping 2 coils in Aqua & Black Sinew. This will be the start of the walls going up. Measures over 8" across the loops and stands over 3" tall at present...12/09/08
**I have finally found a way to make a "Forward X Stitch" that shows a neat row of X's on both sides of the coil. Most books say..."to make the "cross stitch" do single stitches forward on the coil and then to go back over the "single stitches" in the opposite direction using the same thread holes." I have found a way to do both at the same time and continue going forward on the coil.....12/8/08**
*** I didn't like the name LOOPY GREY and decided to change the title again to FANTASY.....as it is beyond anything I have tried to do before.... all new territory....
